It's week six of the Living Between Wednesdays summer book club and Dave and Rachelle are talking about Who is Wonder Woman? by Allan Heinberg and Terry and Rachel Dodson. It was slow to come out back in 2006/2007, but now that it's all collected it's a delightful Wonder Woman read with beautiful art.

Also in this episode: Rachelle is excited about Boom Studios upcoming comic, Fence, by C.S. Pacat and Johanna the Mad; Dave read a whole pile of comics, including the first issue of DC's Metal, and neither of them have any thoughts on Netflix's The Defenders because they are not watching it. But they both have some thoughts on Joss Whedon.

Rachelle and Dave are joined this week by Sean Jordan, aka The Wordburglar to talk about Marvel's Project Pegasus Saga. They also talk about the latest issue of The Last Paper Route, which is written by Sean and Alex Kennedy, and drawn by Dave!

Also in this episode: it's the triumphant return of Winter Soldier, which means it's also the triumphant return of This Week in Winter Soldier! Also discussed: Mister Miracle #1, this week's Secret Empire events, and yet another comic event (DC's Metal) is spoiled by mainstream media.

Rachelle and Dave are joined by their friend J.Bone to talk about Dave Stevens' The Rocketeer. J is not only a fan, he also has drawn a lot of Rocketeer comics himself, including Rocketeer: Hollywood Horror with Roger Langridge, The Rocketeer and The Spirit with Darwyn Cooke, The Rocketeer at War with Marc Guggenheim and he did the cover and interior illustrations for the prose collection, The Rocketeer: Jet-pack Adventures. So he knows a little something about ol' Cliff Secord.

Also in this episode: the first official image of Josh Brolin as Cable, Dave recommends the first issue of Elsewhere from Image Comics, Rachelle recommends The Wendy Project by Melissa Jane Osborne and Veronica Fish, and J recommends old romance comics.

Week three of the book club and Rachelle and Dave read the 17-issue collection, Black Panther: the Complete Collection by Christopher Priest and a whole bunch of artists.

Also in this episode, Jeremy Renner is on the cover of Men's Journal, and that means another installment of the Renner Report! Plus: some details and promo art for Marvel 1,000,000 B.C. Avengers have been revealed, Rachelle can't figure out this Iceman comic, and all the latest Secret Empire craziness.
